INVESTMENT MANAGER/ CORPORATE ADVISOR ROLE

This is a great opportunity for a highly regarded professional looking to play a leading role in a boutique investment house. Ashington’s focus is on strategic SME investment, business advisory services and property investment & development.

 

Person Specification

  • Business Degree, ie Accounting, Finance, Commerce CA/CPA, MBA an advantage
  • At least two to three years experience within transaction services, corporate finance, strategy consulting, investment banking or accounting industry (mergers & acquisitions, consultancy, business advisory)
  • Excellent research, communication and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work cohesively within a small team
  • Meet deadlines and be commercially focused
  • Have an outgoing, professional personality and evidence of having built strong external client relationships

 

Job Specification
Including but by no means limited to:

  • Working on live deals to execute and structure (commercial and financial due diligence, or due diligence, valuations, financial modelling)
  • Research and analysis to support the investment process
  • Analysing target companies/sectors
  • Investment monitoring and on-going support to portfolio companies
  • Provide accurate reports and analysis
  • Preparation of business plans and information memorandums

 

Overall

You will ideally have relevant experience gained in the corporate finance division of a successful corporation or investment bank or in another professional environment such as accounting or management consulting. It is essential that you have an ability to identify and assess SME investment opportunities and possess empathy and a passion for this sector. You will also have the ability to work in and add value to a small collaborative team.
